Scripture

A Call to Persevere in Faith 19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Hebrews 10:19-25
2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.1 Thessalonians 5:2

“Encourage One Another”

“Encourage One Another” Big Takeaway: As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to build one another up, not tear each other down. Our words have the power to encourage or discourage, and we should intentionally use them to strengthen others in love and faith. Two Main Points: 1. Our Words Should Build Others Up Ephesians 4:29 reminds us to avoid unwholesome talk and speak words that benefit others. Gossip, criticism, and discouraging words can cause lasting harm. As Christians, our words should reflect Christ's love and bring encouragement to those around us. 2. Encourage One Another Through Faith and Action Hebrews 10:24–25 calls us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds. We encourage others not only through our words but also by showing up, serving together, and holding firmly to the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Question for the Week: Who in your life needs encouragement this week, and what can you do or say to build them up in Christ?

Home on the Range Brewster M. Higley (early 1870's) Daniel E. Kelley 1. Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, where the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day. Home, home on the range, where the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day. 2. Oh! give me a land where the bright diamond sand Throws its light from the glittering streams, Where glideth along the graceful white swan, Like the maid in her heavenly dreams. Refrain Dr. Brewster Higley
